A few weeks after returning from the Junior World Championships in Peru, the President of the European Surfing Federation, Jean Luc Arassus, gives us his thoughts on the competition and takes the opportunity to convey the federation's best wishes.
"The results achieved by the European teams and surfers confirm the excellent work done by the national federations.
The wave conditions and Peru's efficient organisation, with a national training centre perfectly suited to hosting an international competition, enabled the surfers to demonstrate their consistently improving, high-quality surfing at the 2025 ISA World Surf Games.

The very positive and respectful attitude, spirit of fair play and fighting spirit of our hopefuls demonstrate high-level training and coaching.
Thanks you to National Director of Recreation and Promotion of Sport for the IPD, Jose Luis Casas, FENTA President, Elfri Alfonso Navarrete Narro, and to my friends ISA Vice Presidents, Karin Sierralta and Robert Fasulo, director of the ISA.
The Executive Committee of the European Surfing Federation congratulates all the athletes for their commitment to this 2025 Junior World Surfing Games.
Special mention goes to Sol Borelli and Dylan Donegan, who won individual titles with the Spanish 🇪🇸team, which finished in an impressive fifth place!
Europe has confirmed its incredible potential, which will be further highlighted in the coming years, to go further 💪and higher! 🚀
As we enter this new year, on behalf of the entire team at the European Surfing Federation, I would like to extend our best wishes for 2026.
May this year be filled with perfect waves, bold projects, and unforgettable moments of sharing, both on and off the water
2025 was a rich year: memorable competitions, inspiring performances, and an ever-closer community.
Together, we celebrated the diversity of European surfing, supported our athletes, and strengthened the bonds between our federations. Thanks to you, surfing continues to grow and shine on our continent.
In 2026, let's continue this momentum with passion and determination.
May every session be an adventure, every competition an opportunity to surpass ourselves, and every encounter a chance to build the future of surfing in Europe.
A special thank you to our volunteers, federations, partners, and institutions who work every day to keep our sport alive. Your commitment is the strength of the ESF.
May 2026 bring you health, success, and ever-broader horizons! 🏄♂️✨
Best wishes !
Jean Luc Arassus.
President of the European Surfing Federation.
