COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT THE HEART OF THE DECISION.

This year’s Sant Cruz Ocean Spirit was canceled due to the present pandemic situation across Europe.

This year’s sports program was headlined with the European Surfing Federation (ESF) Junior Eurosurf, with expected participation of around 400 surfers hailing from 13 countries and the logistics became impossible at this time because of the pandemic.

In face of these facts, the organization opted for the cancelation because it would be fatally affected in its experience that revolves around beach life and the relationship between surfers and the audience.

This is a joint decision of the Torres Vedras municipality, the municipal company Promotorres, European Surfing Federation, Portuguese Surfing Federation and Santa Cruz Sealand Association.
