Salinas Beach (Asturias, Spain) is ready to welcome Europe's best riders as the Barreltopia Salinas Longboard International Festival returns with an exciting week of international competition. As one of the highlights of the European surfing calendar, the festival will host both EuroSUP 2026 and the European Tour of Longboard (ETL) alongside a wide programme of cultural, environmental and community activities.
EuroSUP 2026 opens the week
Competition begins on Wednesday with the start of EuroSUP 2026, where Salinas will crown the new European Stand-Up Paddle Surfing Champions.
The opening day will also feature the traditional Sand Mixing Ceremony, one of the festival's most symbolic moments, celebrating unity, friendship and respect between athletes and participating nations.
EuroSUP competition will continue on Thursday, concluding with the official medal ceremony.
European Tour of Longboard kicks off its 2026 season
From Friday to Sunday, the spotlight shifts to the European Tour of Longboard (ETL), as Salinas hosts the opening stop of the 2026 season.
The first event of the new campaign will bring together many of Europe's top longboard surfers, who will begin their quest for the 2026 European Tour title in one of the continent's most iconic longboard destinations.
Beyond the competitions, the Barreltopia Salinas Longboard International Festival will once again offer an extensive programme of activities, including workshops, cultural events, live music, exhibitions, environmental awareness initiatives and beach clean-up activities, creating a unique atmosphere that celebrates surfing both in and out of the water.
The European Surfing Federation will provide official updates, competition schedules, live results and event information for both EuroSUP 2026 and the European Tour of Longboard throughout the week via its official communication channels.
