The 2025 European Longboard Tour concluded in style at Praia do Guincho , just outside Lisbon, with thrilling finals and high-level competition shaping the season’s champions. Portugal’s Raquel Bento and António Dantas claimed the wins at the event, while Denmark’s Thilde Rasmussen and Dantas were crowned European champions for the season.
Praia do Guincho delivered challenging, textured waves, pushing surfers to combine precision, style, and strategic wave selection in duels that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.

The European Longboard Tour wrapped up its 2025 season at São Pedro do Estoril, Cascais, just outside Lisbon, where Europe’s finest longboarders gathered to chase the year’s titles.
Heading into the final stop, top seeds like Thilde Rasmussen from Denmark, Douwe Robroch from the Netherlands, Martín García Andrade from Spain, and Julieta Rodríguez Villamil were poised to secure their spots at the top, while other strong contenders Like Martin Coret from France, Antonio Dantas from Portugal, and Lucy Small from Australia were ready to challenge them.

On day 1 , A last-minute change in the swell moved the event from the classic right-hand point break at São Pedro do Estoril to Praia do Guincho, just 20 minutes north. The first day immediately tested the surfers’ adaptability: waves shifted quickly under strong winds, offering few clear scoring opportunities. Even the favorites struggled. Douwe Robroch and WSL-experienced Emily Curie could not find their rhythm, showing that in longboarding, the ocean always has the final word.

By the second day, the swell had settled into cleaner, more manageable waves. The chaotic opening day rewarded the crowd with Round 2 heats carrying true Final Character. One heat for example featured Rodrigo Sphaier, João Dantas, Martin Coret, and Eduardo Bagé in the same heat, while the women saw title contender Maya Glasenapp, Julieta Rodríguez-Villamil clash.The best two surfers of each heat proceeded into the Quarterfinals with the direct 1-vs-1 duels that define the European Tour.

Surfers had to combine style, strategy, and precise wave selection to advance.
Maya Glasenapp and Margaux Viegue advanced through tight duels, while Canelle Lebreton and Raquel Bento impressed with smart positioning and standout performances, the latter lighting up the lineup with a dominant display.

In the men’s bracket, Eduardo Bagé, Tom Breen, Kito Guessard, and António Dantas all moved forward, combining smooth nose rides, precise rail work, and tactical heat management in heats that thrilled spectators and set the stage for an intense semi-final showdown.

Day 3, the semi-finals brought the competition to a new level, with every heat packed with tension. In the men’s bracket, António Dantas and Eduardo Bagé advanced to the final after strong performances, edging out Tom Breen and Kito Guessard with impressive wave selection and technical execution.

On the women’s side, Margaux Vieuge and Raquel Bento secured their spots in the final, outperforming Maya Glasenapp and Canelle Lebreton with smooth, controlled rides that showcased both style and strategy.

The finals saw Raquel Bento surf with patience and precision, combining fluid nose work and confident turns to take the women’s final, while António Dantas claimed the men’s title after a thrilling duel with Bagé, every wave counting in a match that came down to the smallest margin.
Despite Raquel Bento’s victory at Estoril, it was Denmark’s Thilde Rasmussen who claimed the European Women’s Championship for the season, while António Dantas secured the European Men’s title.

After a year of thrilling events in Portugal, Morocco, and Spain, the first European Longboard Champions were finally crowned, marking the conclusion of an intense and memorable season.
